Robolab is ...in the spirit of LEGO. How can you define variables and constants, how can you flowchart the program, how can you plan for subroutines, all ahead of time, when you're not really sure what the plan is? Prototyping is about ...cut-and-try ...see what works ...see where the problems are, not making and executing a plan. Robolab is a 'dabbler's delight': Move the icons into place, connect them with wire, add modifiers and numerical constants and download it to the RCX. If something is wrong with the construct, its excellent debugger will tell you. And don't forget that it will log sensor data and present these data appropriately ranged and plotted. Here, below, is the entire program. All on one screen!!
